Backyard Football for All is an excellent way to bring the community together. The rules are easy and each set comes complete with a copy of them. Furthermore, we listed them down below to help you get the idea.
If you know what cornhole is and enjoy that, this is like cornhole on steroids, but with a football! We found it, and we are here sharing it with you now. GET IT ALREADY!
RULES of Backyard Football for All:
- Start by setting up the chairs 40 ft. apart!
- Each Team Picks a Side. Up to 4 players on each side or play 1 on 1, you decide!
SCORING POINTS: In Backyard Football
To score a “Touchdown” Throw ball into the basket to score 6 points
Hitting any part of the chair, or uprights and it’s a completion worth 3 points
Playing Defense: The defending team can catch the ball after a bounce. (must first hit a chair-Doesn’t count if it is a deflection from the other team). You can then run it back, or take or knee and play it safe! If playing more than 1 on 1 the defense can come and join.
AFTER A TOUCHDOWN:
Kick the ball from the Tee. If you get it through the uprights it’s 1 point. If it lands in the bucket it’s called a “FITZ”. And it is an instant WIN for the kicking team. GAME OVER.
If the KICK is wide right or wide left, it becomes in play. The defense can catch and return. (Same as for Interception Return above).
Teams switch sides when the winning team reaches 12 pts, 24 pts, 36 pts, 48 pts
WINNING TEAM: Must score 54 points to win. Once a team scores 54 points, they have to win by at least 2 points. The losing team gets the last licks or (one throw).
HAIL MARY:
If you are down by 8 points or more, you can take that amount of steps back. Then go for the Hail Mary! If you make it into the basket, then you WIN!
